The headlines are buzzing: Putin agrees to sit back down at the negotiating table with both the United States and Ukraine. Isn’t it interesting? After months of fiery rhetoric, billions of American taxpayer dollars shoveled into a chronic foreign crisis, and endless lectures from our own leaders about “defending democracy,” suddenly, we’re back to talking. What’s really changed? Nothing—except, once again, the weakness of globalist policies is shining through.
Let’s set the record straight. This war didn’t start in a vacuum. Back in February 2022, Russia marched into Ukraine, sounding alarm bells over Ukraine’s potential entry into NATO. Was anyone in Washington listening then? Hardly. Instead of facing the real concerns head-on, the Biden administration and its cronies pushed a reckless agenda, poking the Russian bear and acting shocked when it roared back. Liberals love to talk about peace, but they’ve been fanning the flames.
How has their “leadership” played out? American families are squeezed by inflation while the government cuts blank checks to foreign countries. The political class seems more interested in meddling overseas than tackling problems at home. They pat themselves on the back for “standing up to Putin,” but never offer a serious strategy. All we get is more posturing, more failed sanctions, and more grand speeches from people who have never served a day in uniform.
Now, almost two years—and untold carnage—later, the world is right back to the negotiation table. So what did sacrificing all that blood and treasure really get us? Nothing but empty promises from global elites and more division among nations. Meanwhile, American soldiers and workers pay the real price for this endless virtue-signaling.
Liberals said talking to “dictators” was off-limits. Now, that’s exactly what’s happening, because facts matter more than their slogans. This whole fiasco proves again: when you put feelings over facts, America loses. Why should Main Street America pick up the pieces every time Washington’s wishful thinking falls apart?
