Lucas wants people to forget the actual charges and focus on her identity. But the American people aren’t stupid. They know that just because someone talks about civil rights or throws around accusations about “old white men in power” doesn’t mean they’re innocent.
It’s insulting to real victims of injustice. Democrats love to weaponize the past, using ugly chapters of history as a free pass for their own behavior. When they hold power, they sneer at middle America, call us dangerous, and say the system is fine. But the second federal prosecutors target one of their own, suddenly it’s 1955 again and they’re freedom fighters under attack. This kind of hypocrisy is what’s broken in politics—and it’s why faith in institutions is at an all-time low.
Of course, the mainstream media eats it up. They wave off the charges and amplify her cries about “silencing” and “standing up to power.” It’s all smoke and mirrors. This is about drug trafficking, not political persecution. But the Democrat machine wants the public focused on race, feelings, and phony oppression—anything but the facts.
Liberals always claim to be the party of law and order until the law comes knocking on their door. If Democrats really cared about justice, they’d face the music and let the courts do their job. But don’t hold your breath. The left would rather rewrite the rules—or the past—than be held to the same standard as the rest of us. Will they ever run out of excuses, or just keep blaming America forever?
