Fraud is running wild in New York, and once again it’s taxpayers left holding the bag. This time, federal and state authorities are cracking down on scam artists bleeding Medicaid dry at so-called “adult day care centers.” While liberal leaders shrug their shoulders or look the other way, real action is finally being taken—and guess what? Mehmet Oz is right there, making it clear: the days of easy government handouts for crooks are coming to an end.
Instead of hiding behind a desk, Oz joined the boots-on-the-ground crackdown, standing shoulder to shoulder with the authorities. He actually delivered warning letters in person to these shady facilities. In a city run by leftist bureaucrats who treat taxpayer cash like Monopoly money, it’s refreshing to see someone step up and demand accountability.
Let’s not kid ourselves—New York’s Medicaid system is a bloated playground for fraudsters, thanks to years of liberal mismanagement. Progressive politicians are quick to call for more spending, but never seem to care where that money actually goes. While hardworking Americans pay the bills, criminals get rich by billing the government for services that never happened.
This isn’t some victimless swindle. Every dollar stolen is a dollar ripped from real Americans who truly need help. Yet, the globalist elite and Democrat machine in New York City just keep dumping cash into broken programs, pretending everything is fine. When conservatives try to fix the mess, they’re accused of being “heartless.” But what’s actually heartless is protecting the scammers and ignoring the victims.
With real leaders stepping in, maybe, just maybe, New York will have to face reality. Conservatives know what liberals refuse to admit: government handouts without oversight are a fraudster’s dream. Isn’t it time we put Americans first and stopped letting criminals run the show?
