Minnesota has hit a new low. Peggy Flanagan, the so-called Lieutenant Governor, just handed $8 million of taxpayer money to a group that believes the best way to deal with drug addiction is to help people get high—safely. We’re not talking about rehab. We’re talking about handing out syringes, needle kits, and even equipment specifically meant for addicts to use drugs in new, dangerous ways. That’s right—your tax dollars are paying for “booty bumping” starter packs. This isn’t compassion. This is insanity.
Apparently, the left now thinks the real solution to America’s drug crisis is to throw a pile of public money at people who pass out drug supplies. Forget supporting families, funding police, or improving schools. Liberals like Flanagan prefer to bankroll organizations that “care” about addicts by pushing more tools into their hands. This isn’t harm reduction—it’s state-sponsored harm encouragement.
The group cashing these government checks claims to promote “wellbeing” for drug users. Their version of wellbeing includes giving out syringes, cookers, and sterile water so people can do hard drugs without feeling quite so guilty. The logic is twisted: help people get high “safely” as if there’s a safe way to wreck your life. It’s like giving someone a helmet and telling them to run into traffic because at least they’ll have head protection. These are the backwards priorities Democrats deliver every time.
Meanwhile, ordinary Minnesotans are watching their neighborhoods change for the worse. Livable streets are turning into lawless zones. Crime keeps creeping up as addicts get more emboldened and public spaces become dumping grounds for needles and drugs. But the Flanagan administration doesn’t care. Their eyes are locked onto globalist talking points and the latest left-wing trend, not the safety or values of real Americans.
This is liberalism in action—spend your hard-earned money to make your communities less safe, all while patting themselves on the back for their “compassion.” Maybe next they’ll hand out coupons for fentanyl. Does anyone still believe these people actually care about fighting addiction, or just about pushing their anti-American agenda?
