Socialists just can’t help themselves when it comes to meddling where they don’t belong. Zohran Mamdani, one of New York’s most radical leftists, couldn’t resist the urge to applaud Brazil’s new labor law right before their heated presidential election. Let’s be honest—this is classic left-wing interference, all dressed up as international solidarity.
Instead of focusing on America’s own problems, Mamdani takes time to celebrate Brazil’s socialist leader, Lula, giving him a last-minute boost. It’s funny how progressive elites always find time to push their agenda abroad when their own cities are drowning in crime, chaos, and failed policies. Maybe if they spent more energy on fixing overflowing homeless shelters and shot-up subway stations, they wouldn’t have time to meddle in other countries’ affairs.
Let’s call this what it is: political gamesmanship. The left dreams of a global network of socialists, all patting each other on the back while everyday families in New York—and Brazil—have to deal with the consequences. Mom-and-pop shops get crushed. Workers lose flexibility as regulations pile up. But hey, big government gets bigger, and politicians like Mamdani get a new excuse to look woke on Twitter.
Every time liberal politicians prop up foreign socialists, they expose their own anti-American bias. They claim to fight for the “little guy,” but it’s always working people who suffer most under their disastrous schemes. American strength depends on American values—freedom, responsibility, and real economic opportunity—not the limp-wristed pandering of the far left.
Americans should ask themselves: why do progressives spend more time lifting up foreign socialists than they do protecting our own interests? Maybe it’s time to shut the door on globalist meddling and demand real leadership at home.
