Working people in this country used to be able to buy a truck, park it in their driveway, and feel a little proud about what they’ve earned. Now? You need a stack of cash, a financial adviser, and maybe some prayer just to roll off the lot in a decent ride. Take a look at the latest Ford Ranger. It’s packed with tech, smooth as anything you’ve ever driven, and loaded with features. But the sticker shock is real. It’s gotten to the point where everyday Americans feel like second-class citizens in their own country, forced to jump through hoops just to own something simple and practical.
This isn’t accidental—it’s the result of years of bad decisions by politicians and bureaucrats in Washington. Liberals shout about “progress” and green dreams, layering on new mandates and taxes that drive car prices through the roof. Meanwhile, hardworking families just trying to live the good life are left with empty pockets and lectures from coastal elites. When your paycheck barely covers the bills and certainly doesn’t let you dream a little, whose side are these so-called leaders really on?
The left loves to talk about “equity” and “fairness”—unless you want to buy a truck, go fishing, or live without government permission slips for everything. They’ll cry about climate change and globalist treaties, all while making sure basic American dreams are priced out of reach. Maybe they think ordinary folks should hop on a bike or take the bus. That’s fine for the ivory tower crowd. But for the rest of us, owning a truck used to be an American rite of passage, not a luxury meant for the upper crust.
Let’s not kid ourselves—wages aren’t keeping up. Government inflation and endless spending are a punch in the gut to the little guy. Instead of getting answers, people get treated to smug sermons about why they can’t have nice things anymore. It’s clear who the system is built to serve, and it’s not working-class Americans.
Maybe the elites sitting in their glass offices think we should just accept this new normal. But the American spirit wasn’t built on settling for less. If working people can’t afford the basics while Washington pats itself on the back, maybe it’s time for new leadership that actually serves the people—not the globalists, not the bureaucrats, and definitely not the limousine liberals.
