An American symbol of heroism was smashed to pieces this week—by an illegal alien. That’s right, a Mexican national, who isn’t even supposed to be here, took a sledgehammer to the Iwo Jima monument replica near Quantico, Virginia. He didn’t just take out his rage on some harmless piece of history. He decapitated one of the Marines. This isn’t just vandalism. It’s a slap in the face to every brave soul who fought for this country and everything it stands for.
This is where liberal open-border policies get us. Washington elites and their globalist buddies want us to believe there is no cost to letting anyone and everyone cross into our home. But Americans with common sense know better. The so-called “dreamers” and causes the left loves to prop up keep endangering our nation, our communities, and our heritage.
While Democrats clutch their pearls at the thought of border security, patriotic monuments are shredded and our values are trampled underfoot. The hypocrisy is staggering: the same crowd who sheds tears for foreigners who break our laws can’t be bothered to defend our military heroes or respect the sacrifices of our veterans. They act like it’s “compassionate” to ignore lawbreaking—as long as it doesn’t mess with their precious social causes.
Let’s get one thing straight: this country doesn’t owe illegal aliens a thing except a one-way trip home. If you sneak in here and put your hands on an American treasure, you should get a fast-track ticket out. Our monuments matter. Our border matters. When we give away our culture by letting anyone do whatever they want, what’s left for real Americans?
When are we going to wake up and say enough’s enough? Are we seriously going to let the left destroy our history, one sledgehammer at a time?
