Earlier this year, the United States came close to landing a fair trade deal with Canada. But as usual, weak-kneed politicians up north couldn’t handle a fair shake. Instead, Canadian leaders chose to throw a tantrum, backed by lefty Ontario Premier Doug Ford. When the going got tough, they walked away from a deal that would’ve been great for both sides. Classic self-sabotage from our so-called “friends” across the border.
Trump didn’t let them walk all over us. He stood firm, didn’t let the Canadian crybabies win, and even went so far as to give Lake Ontario a new name: “Lake America.” While liberals whine about his so-called tough talk, he reminds the world that America is done being a doormat.
Now, Trump is slashing Canadian tariffs to show once again who’s boss. Why? Because he actually cares about the American worker. Susan Collins, who is no stranger to fighting for her constituents in Maine, gets a boost from this bold move. Maine’s businesses rely on fair trade, not the empty globalist promises or socialist schemes that Democrats peddle. Trump sees that, and he delivers real help while the left spews empty words.
So here’s the real question: why do Democrats always side with foreign bureaucrats over their own people? Maybe it’s time for more leaders like Trump who don’t just talk tough—they back it up with action that puts Americans first, every time. The only “Lake America” the left seems to care about is the one they drown America’s jobs in. No wonder they’re terrified of Trump’s winning strategy.
