Another day, another shocking example of globalist meddling blocking actual solutions for public health. This time, a promising infant hepatitis B vaccine trial planned for the struggling nation of Guinea-Bissau has been axed before it could even begin. Why? Because the World Health Organization stuck its nose where it didn’t belong and sabotaged the entire project.
Let’s lay out the facts. American taxpayers, through the CDC, were set to support a much-needed clinical trial to improve infant health in West Africa. Danish research experts were involved, injecting real science and seriousness into a study that could have saved lives. But instead of letting progress happen, global health bureaucrats shot it down. The supposed grown-ups in charge would rather play political games than protect the most vulnerable—newborn children.
Why does the WHO keep getting in the way of countries trying to help themselves? Guinea-Bissau could have benefited from leading medical minds and sorely needed resources. But once again, the international health cartel decided it knows better than local people and actual medical experts. Their games aren’t about health—they’re about control.
It’s the same old liberal hypocrisy: these so-called “global health champions” brag about “equity” and “science,” but the moment Americans or independent researchers step in, the knives come out. If the effort isn’t led by some U.N.-approved, leftist agenda, then it must be crushed—even if children suffer the consequences. It’s a sick joke, but no one in the fancy offices at WHO HQ seems to care.
Every parent in Guinea-Bissau should be asking why unelected international elites get to make life-or-death decisions for their children. Meanwhile, American taxpayers keep footing the bill for globalists who undermine our best efforts. How many more promising projects will get torpedoed before we finally tell the WHO to butt out and let real medicine do its job?
